Gravity

Gravity: A New(tonian) Musical

Created by Joel Chapman, Weston Gaylord, Matt Herrero, Jessia Hoffman, and Ken Savage

The Father of Modern Physics...The Mother of Science Fiction...And the Inventor of Time Travel!

When physics prodigy Sophie is catapulted back in time, her meet-cute with 23-year old Isaac Newton inadvertently prevents him from getting hit with the mythic apple and discovering gravity—which makes her time machine stop working. Now trapped in 1666, Sophie must restore history and navigate the Enlightenment, where Natural Philosophers are the pop stars of their day. She tangles with historical luminaries such as up-and-comer Edmond Halley, Isaac's rival Gottfried Leibniz, and the unknown author Margaret Cavendish, who is embroiled in her own quest for fame and scientific recognition. GRAVITY is a new romantic comedy, smashing together madcap time travel mayhem and delightfully remixed history.

RUNTIME: 2 acts, 2 hours 10 min // CAST: 13 (5W, 8M) - Diverse casting is essential
